Boasting the highest Canada Goose harvest in the continent in 2008 and 2009, Pennsylvania has established itself as a goose hunting powerhouse!!   An estimated 231,000+ Canada Geese were harvested in PA in 2009, making PA #1 in North America for Canada goose harvest for 2 years in a row!!  PA has an estimated resident goose population of well over 200,000 birds, and up to 1.1 million visiting migrators last year!!   We hunt geese primarily out of layout blinds in cut corn, wheat, soybean, or hay fields, but will also use temporary or permanent water blinds, depending on bird activity.

Resident Population Goose Zone (RP)
All of Pennsylvania except for the Atlantic Population zone.

Sept. 1-25 (8-goose daily bag limit)
Oct. 28-Nov. 24
Dec. 11-Jan. 20
Feb. 2-Feb. 24 (5-goose daily bag limit in latter 3 segments)

Atlantic Population Zone (AP)
The area east of SR 97 from Maryland State Line to the intersection of SR 194, east of SR 194 to intersection of US Route 30, south of US Route 30 to SR 441, east of SR 441 to SR 743, east of SR 743 to intersection of I-81, east of I-81 to intersection of I-80, south of I-80 to New Jersey state line.

Sept. 1-25 (8-goose daily bag limit)
Nov. 18-24
Dec. 7-Jan. 20 (3-goose daily bag limit in latter two segments)
